Not a fair weather fan!

Here's a shot of Gabriel sporting his new Jags uniform. He wore it for the first time today during the Jags/Jets game. Turns out Gabe may have brought the team some luck as they played well and won the game during their final drive.

Although he enjoys professional sports and the Jaguars most, I could have sworn, as he is moving a bit more, that i saw him doing the gator chomp in his crib yesterday...perhaps there will be a blue and orange outfit in his future?

10 Weeks

Gabriel turned 10 weeks on Tuesday!

He is officially sleeping through the entire night (on average 7-8 hours) without waking to eat. Jenelle and I have worked out a routine for him to follow, which will hopefully help in his development.

With the help of the "Sleep Lady" and her book, titled Good Night, Sleep Tight, Gabriel can now put himself to sleep when drowsy; of course, with a little help from daddy though. Developmentally speaking this is huge and will go a long way toward reducing his dependence on us at bedtime.

Here are some shots of Gabe lounging in his rocker at 10 weeks.

Growing boy

Gabriel is developing wonderfully for a newborn. He just turned 2 months last week and now weighs 12lbs. (75th percentile) and is 23" tall (50th percentile).

He has started to follow people with his eyes, smiles occasionally and is cooing (i.e., making vowel sounds). He is slowly recognizing that he can manipulate his environment, as he stares intently at his mobile and other swinging toys as if he would like to reach out and grab them.

As of this past weekend he started sleeping 7-8 hours at night, which is ahead of pace from what I have read and been told. We are truly blessed to have such a relatively content baby...just hope he stays this way.

St. Augustine

Gabriel, Abuelo, Nana, Jen and I took a day trip to St. Augustine this past weekend. It was Gabe's first real outdoor adventure/car trip.

He was very content the entire time. We all enjoyed lunch at the famous Spanish Bakery, walked around downtown St. Augustine and rested on the lawn outside of the Castillo de San Marco.

We are looking forward to future trips!
