So much fun!

Gabriel is interacting so much now. He is aware of his surroundings - looking all around (he loves to look at fans and lights). He is "talking" a lot..sounding out ooo and ayayay. Sometimes he makes a sound like an orangutan :) He also is starting to laugh! We all look forward to play time.

He had his 3 month check up at the beginning of December and he weighed 13 pounds (only gained 1 pound within a month) and is almost 25 inches.

Annie

Jenelle loves the movie Annie. It came on t.v. one night and Gabriel was so excited to watch it for the first time that he just had to dance :)

We got a thumb sucker...

Over the past month Gabriel found his hands and enjoys sucking on his fingers and fist. In the mornings Jenelle finds him in his crib sucking on his thumb while he waits for one of us to come and get him.

Happy Thanksgiving

I know this post is a little past due...

We had a great Thanksgiving with both Steven's and my family. We began our morning with Nana and Abuelito on a nice, long walk around the neighborhood. We even walked along the runners running the Outback 6k. Gabriel enjoyed the fresh, cool air. Gabriel, Steven, Abuelito and I walked down to the finish line to watch the first few Outback 1/2 marathon runners finish the race.

We had a great first Thanksgiving lunch (with Steven's family) and dinner (with my family).

Any similarities?

For a while now many people have been trying to decide how much Gabriel takes after both me and Jenelle.

Here is a picture of me at approx. 6 months next to a picture of Gabe at 2.5 months.

I'm trying to round up a baby picture of Jenelle to compare to his, more to come...

Santa

Gabriel took his first picture with Santa a week ago at my work's Christmas party.

Ikea

Gabriel took his first trip to Ikea today with mommy and daddy. We rented an SUV, a GMC Arcadia to be exact, and took a day trip to Orlando Ikea. It only took us 2 hours of driving time each way! I had no idea we were so close.

Gabriel enjoyed the showroom, helping us pick out an office desk, and also enjoyed the cafe. For his efforts, Gabriel was able to pick out a dresser for his room and one Ikea plush toy. He seemed most fond of the stuffed giraffe sitting in a strawberry car, yes as in the fruit...I know what you are thinking, Swedish toys are the best! Most impressively, Gabriel made a few friends - three very sweet elderly women who were taken a back by his outfit and calm disposition.

Here are some shots we took to remember our experience.
